Fun in the Snow!

  Jonas & Elliot loved playing in the snow with Uncle Jay.

  We had gone for a walk downtown with Jay pulling the toboggan. On the way we decided we needed a destination that had hot chocolate at the end! So, we ended up at a newly opened cafe but quickly realized none of us had a cent on us! Fortunately, the owners were people we knew & they generously allowed us to "drink now, pay later"!

  So, here we are, back at home, the adults tired out from our trek. The boys, however, were not out of energy yet. Fortunately, Uncle Jay still had some left, too!

  On to Winnipeg to the Forks. They've made it an annual tradition to skate at the Forks at Christmas.

  Grandma D has joined us for a number of years & we're thankful she can join us again today.

January Happenings

Wedding at the Walper Terrace

  Larry & I attended the wedding of the son of our friends the weekend before Christmas. The wedding took place at the historic Walper Terrace Hotel in Kitchener, Ontario.

  We flew in on Saturday, the day after a blizzard descended on the area. The day of the wedding, Sunday, another blizzard followed on the heels of the previous one. This one was not as bad, but did prevent some people from attending.

  Jay was one of the groomsmen.

  The lovely bride was escorted in by her father.
