Spring in Palm Springs to Winter in Manitoba

  One can get quite used to the idea of opening your curtains on a sunny morning to this beautiful vista.

  This was my view from the kitchen window. Goes well with a fresh-brewed cup of coffee!

  Alas, one must get back to reality! This was my view out my kitchen window the morning after we returned!

  It always amazes me that where ever I find myself, it's hard to imagine that life and weather anywhere else could be so entirely different! I'm so thankful God created the world in such a unique way.

Back to Palm Springs!

Breakfast on our patio. The mornings in March are typically warmer than February so we ate outside quite a bit.

This is Tahquitz Golf Course, a course we often play at twilight because the rates are cheaper.

We spent some time at the pool, reading & tanning. Although, you can see Larry is not much into tanning!

One evening we had a supper invite to join a group of Rosenort vacationers. We had a delicious steak dinner poolside. Thanks to our hosts, Chuck & Lou, for getting this all organized!

Golfing & lunch at Oak Quarry

This is hole #14,one of my favorite holes at Oak Quarry.
It's the signature par three hole rated the best in southern California. It is hard to capture how spectacular it is!


We had lunch on the patio overlooking the course.

So beautiful!

Lunch and golf at Desert Willow

Probably our favorite course in the desert. It has so much beautiful desert vegetation, and no houses or condos along the fairways.

I believe those yellow bushes in the background are creosote bushes.

This golf course always has something in full bloom! I'm not sure what the bush in the background is called.

This is a beavertail cactus, one of my favorites.

This and the next one, of course, are the stunning bouganvaileas.

With their flaming red or sometimes lavender or white colors, they are always gorgeous.
