This is Elliot Jacob, my youngest grandson. He's looking very serious!
I was looking through some old photo albums this morning & suddenly a little boy's face leaped out at me! I couldn't believe my eyes. This is Larry at, I would guess, around 18 months. Same serious look!
At the train station in Stresa, ready for the one hour train ride to Milan.
Eurocochina is the largest kitchen & bath show in the world. It takes place every other year in Milan, Italy.
We are told (by an Austrian) that Italians are the designers in the world. 
What we saw here the first day did not capture my imagination! I'm sure it will take a year or two before these kitchens make their way into the North American home!
Unfortunately, the first day we were in a section that had no wood cabinets at all and these were the ones I really was hoping to see! This is the day only the men went & left us ladies to our own devices.
The show was so huge that you don't even see a tenth of it in one day.
It's too early for dinner so we decide to find a nice outdoor place & have a cappucino.

Blossom time is just beginning and some streets are lined with cherry trees. This is on the way to Jay & Andrea's.
Since Jay & Andrea have a small one bedroom apartment we decided to rent a hotel room. We'd never been to this particular hotel before & Larry booked it on the internet, thinking the pictures looked rather nice. Well, it was very nice! We were booked into a second story room but managed to switch to one on the main floor with access to the courtyard & pool area. It was quite pretty with this little waterfall.
Jay & Andrea introduced us to this wonderful Japanese restaurant. I think it's called Shabusan, which is really Japanese, but they do a Korean barbeque. We had a wonderful time, eating & barbequeing to our heart's content!
I had to cut Jay out of this picture because he makes awful faces for the camera! Some people just never grow up!!

I think this thing is catching - now Andrea has it, too!
Jay & Andrea have these two cats, Smee & Sam, that provide endless hours of entertainment as well as an endless amount of cat hair all over the place! Andrea very faithfully follows behind with her lintbrush in hand! This is Smee, who used to belong to Jay & Justin - he moved along with Jay.
This is Sam, the latest addition, whose is intended to be company for Smee! He looks remarkably similar to Drake, our old cat.

Larry's interest in the cats was not quite as intense! He & Sam are resting together, Sam having had a good workout with the laser pointer!
First you mix the "secret sauce"...
...while Andrea cooks the ribs - no sign of her at the moment, she's behind the scenes.
Then you slap them on the barbie, smother them with sauce and in a few minutes, you have a very delicious supper!
Their living room window has a panoramic view of the city to the west. They enjoy wonderful sunsets!
Originally, we thought we would be home to celebrate Easter in Rosenort. However, our plans which had been on hold for awhile, suddenly changed & we booked flights to Vancouver. So, we made plans to go to Rosenort on Thursday, April 3rd, which just happened to be Kerry's birthday!
We had a good time visiting with Mom & Dad...
...and we also celebrated Rob's birthday which was in March while we were away in Palm Springs.
The "newlyweds" are still happy to have their pictures taken!
