We managed to arrive at the tail end of the strawberry season. There were still lots of good berries & the price was right! We also picked raspberries & bought a bunch of hazelnuts - dried, roasted, chocolate-covered, whatever! The place was called Hazelnut Hill.
We had lunch at a Vietnames restaurant, one of our favorite places to to eat. This was Scott's first taste of Vietnamese food. He enjoyed the main dish while Kim has the pho'.
Pho' (pronounced fa) is a beef or chicken based broth to which rice noodles are added as well as basil leaves, sprouts, lime juice, hoisin sauce & hot sauce, all to taste! This time I went a little over the top with the hot sauce. The heat intensifies over time, so if you don't eat quick, it soon becomes beyond hot!
