On April 15th at 12:30pm we board our Swiss Air flight to Zurich, Switzerland. It's approximately a six and a half hour flight and we arrive at 6:00am on April 16th. After a 5 hour layover, we proceed with the second leg of our journey and fly into the Malpensa Airport at Milan. From there an 8 seater van picks us up & whisks us away from the metropolis of Milan to the quaint & quiet town of Stresa. We check into the Hotel Bristol which is situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Maggiore.
From our balcony we have a beautiful view of Lake Magiorre. Across the lake are the southern edges of the Swiss Alps.
There are three famous islands on this lake. They are Isola Bella, Isola Madre & Isola Pescatori. I believe this is Isola Pescatori.
The sun is shining & the skies are blue above beautiful Lake Maggiore upon our arrival. Sadly, it does not last. By the next morning the skies are gray and laden with moisture which inevitably falls as rain.
