A few weeks ago, Larry & I were priviledged to travel to Italy along with some other people from the U.S. We became good friends with a couple from Pennsylvania, Gerry & Doris. Gerry is on the board for MCC Thrift stores and he happened to have a meeting in Winnipeg the last weekend in May. Doris accompanied him and when the meetings were done, they drove to Morden to pay us and Stan & Connie a visit.
We were happy to have them over for dinner as well as overnite. We had a great time reminiscing about our trip.
Gerry runs a cabinet shop in Christiana and Doris happily babysits her grandkids whenever it's needed. They have 3 with another one on the way.
We had a great time with them! Driving out from Winnipeg, they were amazed at our flat, open landscape and Gerry loved our huge prairie skies with the big, fluffy clouds! Hopefully, someday we'll be able to visit them in Pennsylvania.
