Trip to Asia

We flew to Vancouver in the early morning of Friday, Sept. 24th. Larry attended some meetings while I explored the shops of White Rock! In the evening, we had dinner with Jay & Andrea at the Rugby Club (where else?), then toured their new digs. They recently moved from Walnut Grove back to Burnaby where Jay lived before they were married. This brings them closer to their jobs which saves a lot of time & travel. It was so good to see them, even though our time was short. We also enjoyed brunch with them the next morning before we left for the airport.
Meeting up at the Vancouver airport with our travelling mates. They are Brian & Vicki Rushton from Manitoba, Henry Friesen from Abbotsford and Tom Henry from the US. We are anticipating a great time!
Typical picture of Larry - glued to his laptop or blackberry, whichever works best!

After a never-ending day (we crossed the international date line), we finally arrived in Hong Kong following a 14 hour flight. We had a very tight connection between Hong Kong & Saigon, so needless to say, we are all looking a bit concerned here. We're at the gate, ready to go. The question is, will our baggage make it! For a while it seems doubtful, and we are not excited at the prospect of spending a nite in Hong Kong. It will cause all kinds of complications & ramifications to the rest of our trip. At the last moment, our prayers are answered & we're allowed to board! Whew!
