After lunch we visited the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. It looks quite rugged & desolate here - I guess that's what makes it a great location for a lighthouse!

As we walked out of the lighthouse, we spied an eagle settled in a tree. After I got a zoomed-in shot, it flew up and joined it's mate in flight. They are awesome looking birds. Unfortunately, my pictures just didn't do them justice, so there are none!

Between the lighthouse & this covered bridge we covered a lot of territory! We spent about three hours, maybe more, shopping at the Lincoln City outlet mall. Kim took Mom totally around the mall (not each store!) and managed to get quite a haul of clothes for her! Shopping seems to be a good cure for back pain! Anyway, here we are on our way back to Corvallis. We stopped at the covered bridge which is still in use & in excellent shape.

Oregon has it's share of covered bridges. A couple of years ago, Larry & I took a tour in an area that had half a dozen or more. I so enjoy looking at them! Thanks, Mom, and Scott & Kim, for making this a pleasant & memorable trip!

Loved the pictures. Reminded me a lot of the New England States. And I love clam chowder!
